The Economic and Social Impact of Respiratory Diseases on OrganisationsMarcela Kožená, Michaela Mandysová, Zdeněk Brodský, Karel Šatera, Kateřina Horáčková, Klára VáclavíkováActa academica karviniensia 2023, 23(1):19-31 | DOI: 10.25142/aak.2023.002 The article is aimed at examining the economic and social impacts of respiratory diseases on organizations. The focus is on identifying preventive measures in organizations whose implementation is intended to prevent the spread of these diseases in individual workplaces. The objective of the article is a comprehensive literary survey with a specific emphasis on the economic and social ramifications of respiratory diseases on organizations and possible measures that can eliminate or at least mitigate these impacts. As part of the methodology, a four-stage search of academic texts for the actual research is conducted based on the research question. The findings are complemented by the results of a survey carried out in selected organisations, the conclusions of which document the importance of preventive measures against respiratory diseases in the workplace. The conclusions of this study are considered for the future as one of the bases for the development of a customized prevention model for organizations in order to use artificial intelligence in the field of preventive measures against the spread of respiratory diseases. |

In the case of universities, the importance of this concept is, in view of their specific institutional character and mission, fundamental in comparison with the other types of economic entities. Therefore, it is necessary to develop the university social responsibility concept. And the basis can lie in the works from the area of corporate social responsibility. The article deals with the problems of modification of the corporate social responsibility concept in the context of the university social responsibility. It further develops the theoretical resources of corporate social responsibility and stakeholder theory. The basic resources of the university social responsibility are described and its key areas and activities are identified. |
