- Univerzita Tomáše Bati ve Zlíně, Fakulta managementu a ekonomiky, Mostní 5139, 760 01 Zlín
In recent years, increased attention has been paid to the importance of social and emotional competencies or knowledge, skills and attitudes that must be personally and socially competent. The aim of the paper is to present the results of the research project, which is focused on the analysis of the use of key competencies of employees of health care facilities. In total, 987 questionnaires were evaluated. The research was realized in the months of February 2017 to March 2018. The author deals with the key competences that are part of the pillar of social maturity and they are empathy, will features, responsibility, emotional maturity, health and fitness and decency. There are two research hypotheses that are part of quantitative research. They are verified using the Pearson's Chi-square test method. One research question has been identified as part of qualitative research. The results indicate that there is a statistical dependence between the perception of individual characteristics and gender and the length of the employment relationship. Qualitative research has shown the importance of these features also from the point of view of employers.
