Radka Kubalová, Martin Klepek
Acta academica karviniensia 2019, 19(4):30-41 | DOI: 10.25142/aak.2019.023
When faced with the choice problem involving two products each superior in a different dimension, an addition of an asymmetrically dominated alternative into the choice set might shift the consumer’s preferences towards the dominant alternative. In this article, the effect of asymmetrically dominated alternatives is explored on a sample of Czech consumers involving four different product categories – lunch meals, vacation destinations, gym season tickets, and washing machines. The research question is whether there might be any significant differences in the strength of the effect on choices of Czech consumers. The analyzed data were obtained...

Michal Medonos, Marie Jurová
Acta academica karviniensia 2019, 19(4):42-50 | DOI: 10.25142/aak.2019.024
Measurement of lean production is a topic which isn’t too often mentioned by authors focused on lean methodology. We have decided to focus on this gap, because we believe that it is important part of successful implementation of lean production. We have created a simple method related to evaluation of leanness of production processes using production lead time. Based on our survey we could prove our method in real companies, using real data and parameters of their production lines. We asked responsible persons in addressed companies for an interview during which we filled in our questionnaire. Results brought us interesting insights into the...

The literature deals with the benefits of horizontal integration and barriers to implementation. So far, however, it has not addressed the results of horizontal integration, i.e. perception of their advantages and disadvantages after the integration process. The paper expands the theoretical knowledge in the field of disadvantages of implemented horizontal integration. It presents the results of primary quantitative research carried...
