The paper examines goodwill as a potential subject of management decision-making. It begins with a premise that although goodwill can be of a very high value it is often kept in books without much interest of a company management. The article is looking for a suitable statistical model that would conclusively answered the question, how are travel agencies and vendor-agencies created promotional materials. Responses to this question were obtained using advanced statistical methods. The authors faced the problem of how suitable model, which would have an adequate audit trail, choose. Linear regression with artificial transformation was elected which included the partial indicators of the size of offices and agencies. Using this variable, then the question of whether there is a linear relationship between who form the materials and sizes of office.

FISCAL INCENTIVES FOR RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT AND TAX SUBSIDY IN SELECTED EU COUNTRIES

This article focuses on the fiscal incentives for research and development (R&D) in 20 selected EU countries. Although the single market is one of the preconditions of the EU functioning, the market for innovation and R&D within which fiscal incentives operate is very heterogeneous. USING OF P/E AND P/BV INDICATORS BY BUILDING A STOCK PORTFOLIO

Presented paper is dealing with using selected fundamental indicators by building a stock portfolio. Analysis is focused on using P/E and P/BV indicators by building a stock portfolio from stocks listed on Prague Stock Exchange. The aim of this paper is answer on question, if stocks with lower P/E and/or P/BV bring investor higher return than stocks with higher values of these indicators or not. The Common Agricultural Policy has a major impact on the development of the agricultural sector in the countries of the European Union because this sector is significantly regulated in comparison with the sector of industry or services. A considerable part of the professional community deals with the question how the agricultural sector reacts to such form of regulation. The paper provides a more comprehensive synthesis of knowledge about the formation and development of the Common Agricultural Policy in order to create a comprehensive overview of the theoretical formation of this policy from the perspective of domestic and foreign authors.
