THE EFFECTS OF STRUCTURAL EMPOWERMENT ON CORPORATE REPUTATION AND ORGANIZATIONAL IDENTIFICATIONHüseyin Erkul, Pelin Kanten, Gülten GümüºtekinActa academica karviniensia 2018, 18(3):27-40 | DOI: 10.25142/aak.2018.018 This study aims to investigate the effects of structural empowerment on corporate reputation and the mediating role of organizational identification. Within the literature, studies suggest that some organizational factors improve employees' perception of corporate reputation levels. Therefore, structural empowerment and organizational identification are considered as predictors' of corporate reputation levels of employees in scope of the study. For the purpose of the research, the data which were collected from 178 administrative staff in Canakkale Onsekiz Mart University by the survey method were analyzed by using hierarchical regression analysis. The results of study revealed that all dimensions of structural empowerment such as participatory decision-making environment, accountable and supportive environment and facilitative environment have positive and significant effects on employees' perception of corporate reputation levels. Besides, it was also found out that organizational identification has positive and significant effect on the perception of employees' corporate reputation levels. In addition, organizational identification has a mediating role in the relationship between structural empowerment dimensions and perception levels of employees' corporate reputation. |
DISPARITIES IN THE SECTOR OF INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGIES IN THE NUTS3 REGIONS IN THE CZECH REPUBLICKamila Tureèková, Jan NevimaActa academica karviniensia 2018, 18(2):58-69 | DOI: 10.25142/aak.2018.015 The present article is focused on the analysis of selected indicators that characterize the economic sector of information and communication technology at regional levels in the Czech Republic between years 1995 and 2015. The aim of this paper is to evaluate, by a specific index that is based on a combination of point method and economical-geographic methods, regional divergences in the area of the economic branch of information and communication technology and defines development and regional differences in the ICT branch at NUTS3 level of the regions of the Czech Republic. The quest is to find regions where information and communication technology is developing and to define an order (ranking) of regions that succeeded in developing the ICT sector. The analysis of the information and communication sector which is defined by NACE Rev.2., in section J, is based on empirical data from the Czech Statistical Office at NUTS3 regional level. |
ICT SECTOR IN REGIONS OF THE CZECH REPUBLIC IN YEARS 1995 - 2012Kamila TureèkováActa academica karviniensia 2014, 14(4):97-107 | DOI: 10.25142/aak.2014.071 This article is focusing on analysis of sector of information and communication technology in the Czech Republic between years 1995 and 2012. Branch of information and communication technology is one of the most important economic activities because of potential for further growth of output performance and productivity. In this short study development of information and communication sector during the selected 18 years in aggregate economic levels is described through performance measured by gross value added, sectoral employment and also sectoral productivity. Emphasis is placed on developing information and communication technologies in selected 14 regions of the Czech Republic. The main aim is to find the regions which are concentrated economic activities related to information and communication technology in and to evaluate their success in interregional comparisons. It was found out that the overwhelming majority of economic activities associated with information and communication technology is concentrated in four - five regions of the Czech Republic and the regional disparities in the area of this economic branch have tendency to deepen. |

Based on this it is important to follow its situation and reforms because they can influence the economic situation in the neighbouring Member States including the Czech Republic. The aim of the article is to describe the situation of the German labour market before the world-wide economic crisis and the impacts of the crisis on the German economy in the context of the government measures. Finally we will focus on phenomena of Kurzarbeit, which helped, despite the crisis, to keep the employment rate relatively high and reduced the growth of the unemployment. |
