Klíčové kompetence pracovníků zdravotnických organizací potřebné pro výkon jejich práce v rámci pilíře sociální zralostiJanka VydrováActa academica karviniensia 2018, 18(4):89-100 | DOI: 10.25142/aak.2018.031 In recent years, increased attention has been paid to the importance of social and emotional competencies or knowledge, skills and attitudes that must be personally and socially competent. The aim of the paper is to present the results of the research project, which is focused on the analysis of the use of key competencies of employees of health care facilities. In total, 987 questionnaires were evaluated. The research was realized in the months of February 2017 to March 2018. The author deals with the key competences that are part of the pillar of social maturity and they are empathy, will features, responsibility, emotional maturity, health and fitness and decency. There are two research hypotheses that are part of quantitative research. They are verified using the Pearson's Chi-square test method. One research question has been identified as part of qualitative research. The results indicate that there is a statistical dependence between the perception of individual characteristics and gender and the length of the employment relationship. Qualitative research has shown the importance of these features also from the point of view of employers. |

The accommodation facilities, their size, capacity and structure are a precondition for the development of tourism. The purpose of the paper is to examine changes in Slovak accommodation sector in the process of globalization. The article deals with the changes in structure and performances of the accommodation sector in 2000, 2008 and 2016. It points out the impact of globalization on the Slovak hotel industry. |
Metody a přístupy v řízení rizik - přehled možností jejich členěníMartina ŽwakováActa academica karviniensia 2018, 18(1):68-81 | DOI: 10.25142/aak.2018.007 As a result of constant changes in a business environment, companies are confronted with a significant number of risks. Such development is supposed to bring higher risk management requirements. Demands on systematic risk management framework creation are also newly included in revised ISO 9001:2016 standard. Under these conditions, companies should pay sufficient attention to risk management methods. The aim of the paper is to focus on risk management methods and their possible evaluation. Particular views on existing evaluation or classification of methods available from resources focused on the issue of the risk management methods are described and possibilities for further categorization of methods are outlined. In the paper an attempt to examine approaches to risk management and methods in a real business environment through a questioning. Due to a smaller number of respondents the questioning is used as a complementary to the overview of methods and approaches and to provide a starting point for a further research. |

Jsou metody ABC a Balanced Scorecard pro řízení nákladů dostatečné?Michal MitáčekActa academica karviniensia 2015, 15(4):67-79 | DOI: 10.25142/aak.2015.043 The aim of this article is to describe the cost process management using the ABC - Activity-Based Costing method. Based on the case study the implementation of the ABC method into an already used strategic management Balanced Scorecard method in the production company not only the implemented methods results, but also the critical implementation gaps and the methods for a complex costs management are shown. In the following part the addition of other possible managerial methods is designed that will lead to more precise cost management, as well as to monitoring and avoiding risks associated with the costs amount in connection with the company performance management. The ultimate goal of this article is to draft a new complex management system for the cost management and business performance. Used tools and managerial methods designed to control the cost and performance are following: Balanced Scorecard, Activity-Based Costing, Performance Management, Business Process Management, Business Continuity Management. |
Methodical cube a projektové nástroje jako inovativní přístup k modelování podnikových procesůMarcela Kovaľová, Lukáš TurčokActa academica karviniensia 2015, 15(1):94-104 | DOI: 10.25142/aak.2015.008 The article deals with the problem of business processes modelling. It presents the basic theoretical concepts and proposals how to use various methods of business processes modelling for various levels and attributes of these processes through the created methodical cube. The methodical cube is the methodology of the process model (or map) creation as well as the innovative tool in process management. The objective of this article is to create the basis for business processes optimization and for improving their performance through "the three aspects methodology" required for the business processes modelling and design. The authors mention the project approach to process modelling. They use an analysis of problems (so-called "tree of problems") and analysis of goals (so-called "tree of goals) as project tools, which should be applied before process modelling. These tools help the process manager to understand potential problems and find the goals for making a good process map or model. |

Strategic management has evolved to help organizations to operate successfully in competitive environment. Strategic management is an organized development of resources of the functional areas: financial, manufacturing, marketing, technological, manpower, innovative etc. in the pursuit of its objectives. The paper is based on primary and secondary research. One of the objectives of the primary research was to analyze and evaluate which performance drivers had impact on the strategic management in the years 2010 - 2012. On the basis of the questionnaire survey it was possible to point out the areas that can have a high impact on the competitiveness of organization. The analysis and classification of these areas is object of this paper. The aim of the paper is also to summarize basic relations among the areas, to deduce partial findings and to formulate some recommendations for entrepreneurial subjects. |

Each adaptation in business is an impulse to change and may cause unexpected behavior inside or outside the company. This article aims to present innovative thinking bond, investment success in overcoming the crisis, based on the results of a carried out research. Using knowledge of current methods of management and business management services in general it can be inferred that the enterprise can develop an open system that is capable of rapid adaptation to the external positive and negative influences. |
Nástroje e-komunikace v mezipodnikové komunikaci ve společnostech operujících v automobilovém průmyslu na SlovenskuMiroslava SzarkováActa academica karviniensia 2013, 13(4):193-198 | DOI: 10.25142/aak.2013.077 Communication tools are nowadays generally in literature considered to be the key factors, which influence the intra-enterprise systems and management processes. In different way, they also play a key role in terms of improving quality of the processes. Mainly modern, e-communication tools and their use in intra-enterprise communication show many results of improving the effectiveness of intra-enterprise corporate environment. They also create the environment in which employees are actively supported to be engaged in problems related to solving different assignments. In an open economy, such as Slovakia, the importance of e-communication tools in intra-enterprise communication is rising. However, the answer to the question of how employees really pay attention to this fact we tried to give in this contribution. We provide an analysis of results from monitoring e-communication tools in small and medium sized enterprises in automotive industry in Slovakia. The aim of the article is to point out some of the chosen (ongoing) problems in use of e-communication tools in intra-enterprise communication in the selected sample of small and middle enterprises operating in Slovakia. The aim of the article isn't complex analysis of the given topic. |
Kalkulace nákladů v podmínách českých nemocnicŠárka FialováActa academica karviniensia 2013, 13(4):34-43 | DOI: 10.25142/aak.2013.061 In this article the current situation of the utilisation of costing in hospitals in the Czech Republic is dealt. The theoretical basis is described in the first section of the article which are followed by additional research results. In the research, the emphasis was on the composition of costs in hospitals, as well as the range of calculations and methods of calculation. In conclusion, the research results are evaluated and made recommendations. The aim of this paper is to evaluate the increasing dominance of institutional shareholder and to give an overview of the most used measures by institutional shareholders. |
