This article is dedicated to forming the subject of economic science in the theory K. Englis. In the first part the historical context shaping national economic science in the Czech lands is defined. Next, the specific conditions applying to the creation of the Brno school are identified. The second part shows the continuity of Englis's approach to the subject in the context of Braf's economic views. However, the Englis's ability to break away from the established framework and in original way combine the positive interpretation of economic theory with the tradition of the social context of practical economic policy is demonstrated.

This article deals with the issues of translating -ingly adverbs functioning as content disjuncts. It does so on the example of the two most frequently used -ing participle based disjuncts surprisingly and seemingly. A judgement-value content disjunct surprisingly expresses the speaker's attitude to what is being said as unexpected whereas seemingly, a truth-value epistemic content disjunct expresses the speaker's degree of doubt. The scrappage scheme became one of the most discussed instruments within the aggregate demand stimulation during the world economic crisis 2008-2009. The main aim of the article is to point out ways of integrating liquidity risk into basic VaR model. Liquidity risk in the VaR model is incorporated through the cost of disposal in the form of a bid - ask spread. The primary objective of non-profit organizations is impletion of the envoi which isn't make direct earnings, but provides benefit in modification of public utility services. Typology of non-profit sector presents specific position of the organizations in the national economy. Organizations are considered as business units and taxpayers.
